The Viper F17 is an IP65 rated device that offers elegant design features and is weatherproof under extreme conditions.The device has a lock control, alarm, exit button and a door sensor. The device can connect the an external weatherproof F12 slave biometric reader. This is normally used on turnstiles, etc. The device can also be used to connect with a control panel as a reader via a Wiegand-out interface. An LCD display allows easy operation. The device can also be connected to a PC to communicate via ethernet. The USB-Host is used for data uploading and downloading and user templates.

The F12 is also an IP65 rated device for extreme weather conditions. It can be connected to the F17 as a second / slave reader. This is normally used on outdoor turnstiles.
